Entries open Monday 1 June 2026. Online entries close Friday 7 August 2026. Enter online at dogsnz.org.nz for entries, grooming spaces and camping. Report and start times: TBA.

Fees below are per the 2026 exhibitor pack. Grooming, camping and catalogue options are booked and paid at the time of entry.

Judging format 2026
Curtain Raiser show
Regular Dogs New Zealand judging format.
National show & A2O show
- Best of Group judging will be judged 1–4. No reserve winners will be required.
- Age of Group will be judged unless eliminated by group winners.
- Neuter Best and Reserve of Group judged. Reserve not required.
- Best in Show & Neuter in Show judging will be 1–4 placings.
Dogs New Zealand reserves the right to re-allocate breeds and appoint replacement judges if necessary.
Classes to be judged
Breed classes
Dogs: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 11, 18
Bitches: 1a, 3a, 5a, 6a, 8a, 11a, 18a
Stakes classes (National)
- Puppy Stakes: All breeds of puppies aged 3–12 calendar months on the first day of the National show.
- NZ Bred Stakes: NZ-bred dogs aged six months and over.
- Veteran Stakes: For dogs/bitches over the age of seven years. Do not need to have been entered in a breed class.
- Breeder Stakes: Open to breeders. Three to a maximum of five dogs or bitches of any one breed, not necessarily owned by the breeder but must carry the one kennel name. Any exhibit over the age of 7 yrs need not be entered in a breed class.
Critiques (National Dog Show only)
Written critiques will be published in NZ Dog World after the event for the following:
- Best in Show 1, 2, 3, 4
- Neuter in Show 1, 2, 3, 4
- All Age in Show awards
- First in each Group
